VIDA Individual Development Account
The VIDA Program (VIDA Individual Development Account) helps individuals build financial stability by offering a matched-savings opportunity where participants receive $5 in matched funds for every $1 they save*. Alongside savings, the program provides training and education designed to prepare participants for purchasing and maintaining one of the five eligible asset types offered through Community in Action. This program educates participants to become capable savers empowered for long term success.
To Qualify For the VIDA Program:

Choose one of the eligible asset types and show capacity to save.

Be at least 16 years old and purchase ready within a timeline.

Household net worth cannot exceed $20,000, excluding the most valuable vehicle, the household’s home where they reside, and up to the first $120,000 of a retirement account.

Must have annual income. Annual income of the household must not exceed 80% of area median income (AMI) by county of residence or 200% of the federal poverty level, whichever is higher.

Be an Oregon resident and a U.S. Citizen.

Be willing to complete financial and asset specific education and participate in one-on-one coaching.
