Down Payment Assistance
Community in Action is seeking individuals who are interested in purchasing a home, but lack the initial down payment to secure a mortgage. We work closely with local realtors and lenders to help potential homebuyers to meet the program criteria. Those who are eligible will participate in monthly housing counseling, homebuyer education and financial literacy education.
To qualify for Down Payment Assistance:
- Malheur County resident
- First time homebuyer
- Home purchase in Malheur County
- Annual income not to exceed:
- 1 Person: $29,050
- 2 Persons: $33,200
- 3 Persons: $37,350
- 4 Persons: $41,500
- 5 Persons: $44,850
- 6 Persons: $48,150
- 7 Persons: $51,500
- Complete 8 hours Financial Literacy education
- Complete eHome America Pre-purchase education
- Participate in housing counseling
Grant funds will be paid directly to the title company and must not exceed 10% of the purchase price.
